Prayer, Worship, Service

The mission of Faith and Service is to ignite spiritual growth by establishing a campus culture of prayer, worship and service

Life Changing Love

Through the various collegiate ministries who serve on our campus (including Awaken Love Prayer and Worship Ministry, First-Year Family Groups, F.C.A. - Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Newman Center – Catholic Student Ministry, Campus Outreach and others) we live into the vision of Faith and Service which involves each member of the Georgetown College community experiencing the love of Christ in life-changing ways.

Coffeehouse Ministry

Last year, several student ministry leaders decided they wanted to serve others by learning how to make excellent espresso drinks for students. We combined that ministry with our Awaken Love Prayer Ministry and Rooted Worship Service, and Common Ground Coffeehouse was born! Wednesday nights in the Chapel basement we drink warm drinks and pray and worship freely. All are welcome!

Head, Heart, Hands

Since we are a place of learning, our collegiate ministries seek to create safe space for conversations and civil dialogue about faith and culture, including hot topics. Through the Religion Department we offer ministry classes that connect students with local ministries and allow them to serve there for class credit. We also provide opportunities for students to serve through mission and service trips.

Join Us for Campus Worship

Summary:

The worship of God is a central feature of life at Georgetown College. Twelve times each academic year, the College gathers for worship on Tuesday morning. These services are intended to provide challenge and inspiration, to appeal to the head and the heart, and to incorporate both classic and contemporary elements of worship.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS ARE SAYING

Body:
FFG is great because, as an incoming freshman, I was able to meet upperclassmen that set examples of how to lead a Christian life as a college student. Seeking community, it was a great opportunity for me to get involved with like-minded students.
